Born in 1926 in Safed and joined the Irgun in 1942.

In 1946 served as commander of the Fighting Force in Tel Aviv. He took part in many actions against the British, including: the requisition of arms from the British army camp in the Exhibition Grounds in Tel Aviv (1945), the raid on the army camps at Tel Nof and Sarafand (1946). Commanded one of the groups, which took part in sabotaging the southern railway lines (April 1946). Commanded the attack on the Ramat Gan police station (1946).

In late 1947 was in charge of the training camp for Irgun personnel before they joined the IDF.

Is now a professor of educational psychology at New York University.
