(1926-1983)

Born 1926 in Tiberias and in 1942 joined the Irgun.

During the Revolt, was active in the Fighting Force and took part in numerous operations against the British, including the requisition of weapons from the army camp at Rosh Ha-ayin (1946). While commanding one of the units which sabotaged the southern railway lines (April 1946), he was caught and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.

Freed from Acre jail by his comrades in the jail-break, he was appointed commander of the Fighting Force in Ramat Gan and Petah Tikva.

During the War of Independence, he commanded the Ramleh front. After the Altalena affair, he moved to Jerusalem and served as operations officer in the Jerusalem battalion.
